![]() In this tutorial we're just talking about converting to JPG so we'll do that. At the top click "+Add" and you can choose any number of operations. In the new window click on "Add images" and in the drop down menu, click "Add all opened images." (You will notice that there is an option to "Add Folders" - this works, but not for WEBP, at least it wouldnt for me.) All of your images should be listed under "Input files and options.".Click: File > Batch Image Manipulation (which we added when we installed BIMP).But use your judgement, and drag in as many as you feel comfortable and wait for them all to finish opening. Open up GIMP, and drag all the images that you want to convert into the program. It will be the EXE file you see on this page. Install GIMP if you haven't, of course.I'll give a quick rundown on everything you need to do, it's very easy. But you can go a large number all at once this way, and it saves a ton of time, even if you'd have to do it a few times. If you're going to be doing that fairly often I might suggest diving into ImageMagick and writing a BASH script for it - I didn't feel like dealing with that. This won't do thousands of pictures at once, unless you computer can open all those images. You can do it, you just can't tell it to add the images from a folder, they need to be open in the program. I downloaded the BIMP addon which I thought would batch process the files from WEBP to JPG, but it wouldn't - at least not in the way one expects it to. There are seemingly no uncomplicated ways to convert large amounts of WEBP files to JPG or other formats. I just wanted to make this post so that others who may be trying to figure this out see it. r/FreeCAD FOSS Parametrical CAD/CAM /r/scribus Desktop Publishing Darktable FOSS tool for photographers ![]() ![]() r/gmic FOSS image processing framework /r/inkscape Vector-based graphic editor /r/blender 3D modeling, animation, & rendering /r/mypaint painting for digital painters /r/darktable/ photo editing software /r/krita digital painting application /r/synfig FOSS 2D Animation /r/FOSSPhotography Folks who use all the above /r/libredesign changing the paradigm Other Links of Interest Outreach through well written tutorials, presentation etc.Help test and triage bugs in the bugtracker.Alexander Prokoudine - /u/prokoudine ( LibreArts Founder) ( patreon) Ways to Assist GIMP.YouTube Channel spamming will not be tolerated.CSS help provided by /u/Cheesydude All about the GNU Image Manipulation Program
